Itinerary:
Day 1: Liberia - Arenal.
Private transfer from airport to Arenal. Leisure time to enjoy incredible Hot Springs.
Day 2: Arenal.
Tour the Arenal Volcano Area. Pick-up at hotel. Hike with a naturalist guide for astonishing tales and views of the volcano. Listen to vivid descriptions of the volcano's activity periods and history. Encounter wildlife such as, howler monkeys, sloths, wild pigs and bird species, such as toucans and hawks. Return to hotel. Soak in the Hot Springs.
Day 3: Arenal.
Cano Negro and Rio Frio Boat Tour. Pick-up at hotel. Experience a boat ride on the Frio River, part of the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of the most diverse flora and fauna habitats in Costa Rica. Sight birds species, such as the snake-bird, herons, and cormorants and view the howler, spider or white face monkey, three-toed sloths and reptiles like caimans, lizards and turtles. Return to hotel.
Day 4: Arenal - Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.
Boat trip across the lake to Monteverde with an excellent photo op of the Arenal Volcano. Transfer along the mountain road to the Cloud Forest. Evening hike in the Cloud Forest.
Day 5: Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.
Selvatura Hanging Bridges Tour. Pick-up at hotel. Guided hike through primary forest along hanging bridges. Walk across eight different suspension bridges from 150 feet (50 meters) to 510 feet (170 meters) long and between 36 feet (12 meters) to 180 feet (60 meters) high. Return to hotel.
Day 6: Monteverde - Tamarindo.
Private transfer from Monteverde to Tamarindo resort. Afternoon at the Beach.
Day 7: Tamarindo.
Catamaran and Snorkeling Cruise with pick-up at hotel. Enjoy the Guanacaste coastline, with its many islands, jungle lined peninsulas, and varied species of marine life. Stop at a deserted beach for lunch and to snorkel (or kayak). Dolphins and Sea Turtles are usually spotted on this trip. Return to hotel.
Day 8: Tamarindo.
Miravalles Volcano Combo Tour. Pick-up at hotel. Guided tour to Miravalles Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica; visit the geysers at 'The Burners' near the base of the volcano; ride on horseback or by buggy to the rainforest. Hike in the rainforest to waterfalls and soak in the volcanic hot springs. End the tour with a delectable lunch. Return to hotel.
Day 9: Tamarindo.
Day at the beach.
Day 10: Tamarindo - Liberia.
Transfer from hotel to Liberia Airport.
